KLRC continues to work with other state organs in ensuring that legislative proposals that are developed and go before Parliament are in conformity with the Constitution and meet the needs of the public.
Most recently the Commission applauded a proposal to amend the National Transport and Safety Authority Act to include the regulation of motor cycle owners and operators more popularly known as Boda Boda. While motorcycles are essential for moving people and goods, they are also, a significant contributor to road traffic accidents making it a public health issue of concern in the country.This amendment if passed will ensure motorcycle owners and operators are in compliance with road safety regulations which is critical in helping to addreess safety and security issues emanating from this sector.
